How do I analyze .pcap files for SMTP information

In my class training I need to open a .pcap file extract the information and write down the smtp password

Search on port 25 for SMTP. Then follow the SMTP Path to the login.

You may be able to use Tools -> Credentials in the Wireshark gui.
See the Wireshark User's Guide section 3.14. The “Tools” Menu

The smtp.pcap file in "Figure 3.12. " is available in the Sample Captures on the Wireshark wiki.
