Problem with npcap, service won't install

Hello everyone, I have a problem, I can't use Wireshark, because npcap doesn't install its services:

C:\Windows\System32>sc query npcap [SC] EnumQueryServicesStatus:OpenService failure(s) 1060 :

The specified service does not exist as an installed service.

I've tried everything, reinstalled wireshark, reinstalled npcap. I can't start the ncap service, because it doesn't exist... Do you have a potential solution? Thanks in advance

Looking for the error it seems to be common with services not bing installed. For example: http://forum.wampserver.com/read.php?... https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/w...

But it might point to a deeper hidden problem with your installation or just missing access rights to install drivers.

Hi, Thanks for your message, I did the different commands but it didn't help. But I had the idea to launch Windows in "safe" mode; I uninstalled Wireshark and NPCAP; I then (still in "safe" mode reinstall); I restarted Windows normally and no problem the npcap service works normally and Wireshark (well after 40 requests for admin perms, works correctly (I'm not kidding)).

If you intend using Wireshark with npcap then do NOT check the "Use admin ..." box in the npcap installer, it will drive you mad as each interface access will generate the dialogs.

Yes, I put my machine back in safe mode to reinstall without the option. I just obviously got around the problem. Because as soon as I uninstalled with Windows booting normally, I still had the same problem when reinstalling. ty <3

This is an Npcap issue; report it on the Npcap issues list. The Npcap developers might be able to help you, but they may have to ask you for more information.
