Wireshark conversations save as .csv not including the headers/title of the fields

  • retag add tags

I previously had Wireshark version 3.6.14 installed and upgraded to version 4.0.6.

Previously (3.6.14) when I went to Statistics-Conversations and then save as .csv it saved with the headers in the first line of the csv. After upgrading I have found that the headers no longer export. Does anyone know if there is a setting somewhere that enables the saving of the headers in .csv format to still happen or knows of a way to get the headers in the .csv automatically?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I don't know my way around this forum very well. As far as I can tell 18519 and 8714 referenced by @Chuckc are older and appear to have been resolved but the issue is still present in the most recent version?

Does anyone know if anything has happened with this or if it would be best to report it as a bug using this page? https://wiki.wireshark.org/ReportingBugs.

The fix made it into the development branch but was not pulled back to the 4.0 current production releases.
If you would like to test, try a 4.1 development build: automated builds

@Chuckc Very helpful! Yes I can confirm that the headers are back :-)

Thanks!
