how to integrate wireshark with python or java?

  • retag add tags

I need to create an application (program) that can use wireshark to do network analysis and then display the result.

Any help would be appreciated.

OP: "do network analysis"
ELIZA: "Can you explain in more detail?"

sharkd might meet the requirements.

I need to create a program in java or python that can use wireshark to do network analysis e.g. ask the user how long should the analysis run and then display the results (normal and abnormal data)?.

Can you please tell me more about sharkd? How to get started with it etc?

Did you have a specific question not covered on the wiki page - https://gitlab.com/wireshark/wireshar...
Or where to find the software - https://ask.wireshark.org/question/24...

This is on the agenda of SharkFest Europe https://sharkfesteurope.wireshark.org/ : 14 "Automate your Analysis, tshark, the Swiss army knife"

Yeah, I just found about it. Have you used it before?
