imessage traffic via Wireshark

Hello All,

How can I see imessage traffic happening on an iPhone on my network? I think I understand that I won't be able to see the content, but I would like to see traffic (ideally inbound and outbound) at certain times of the day. Is this possible?

Thanks in advance!

I assume capturing messages from Wi-Fi. Apple uses TCP port 5223 for their push apps, including iMessage. You can capture traffic by IP (iPhone IP address) and by TCP port 5223, but it may not be only iMessage traffic.
