I wanna hook up Wireshark to my Xbox. How? [closed]

I use Ubuntu Linux on a Chromebook, and i wanna know how I would be able to hook it up to my Xbox and be able to pull IPs. And no, I will not use it to boot others offline, just an intimidation thing. Anyways, I need to know if there are any specific things I need to do to be able to do such things. And are there any specific cords I would need to be able to do this?

You can refer to the CaptureSetup wiki page for help in setting up Wireshark to capture packets.

Of course you won't because Wireshark won't allow you to do that.

And because the gaming world abounds with delinquents who think nothing better of "booting others offline" or "intimidating others", the game vendors use a server\client system such that clients (the game players) don't have any direct connection to each other so can't grab their IP's.

I think @ALT should spend some time trying anyway. I mean, it's fruitless but at least there's a chance of learning something about Wireshark that way.

Of course if you really want to view someone's IP on the Internet, then everyone knows you need to use tracert and there's nobody better than NextGenHacker101 to demonstrate its use in his classic YouTube video, How to view someones IP address and connection speed!

Meh, even if I can't grab an IP, I don't mind. This has been a pretty good learning experience and personally any outcome is fine with me. And even if I could, I wouldn't run around just stealing IPs, I would just use it to get some weirdos off my back considering there are way too many of those people. Anyways, thanks for the help to the both of you.
