Error when opening wireshark

  • retag add tags

I am getting an error that code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP140_1.dll was not found. Could you help to resolve this please? Thank you

What is your OS? Is it up to date with MS Security updates?

There is an open issue: #17506: vcruntime140_1.dll deleted on Wireshark update/install

The vc_redist package is available here: The latest supported Visual C++ downloads

Pick the appropriate package (x86 or x64) for your system.
If the installer gives a warning about the version already exists, run again with /repair.
