Slow file transfer speeds

  • retag add tags

Hi there

I hope someone can help with this. I'm looking into very slow file transfer speeds I'm getting in one of our remote offices. Internally, I'm seeing expected speeds of 20Mb when transferring a file, but when copying files over the WAN, it barely touches 1Mb.

Capture can be found at the following link:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/8y3a6fi5kye...

My IP is 172.31.88.172 Remote PC is 10.88.131.18

Any assistance would be much appreciated. The WAN provider insists their CPEs are fine with no throttling or traffic shaping in place. From the LAN side, I've checked the switches and firewall and everything looks fine.

Many thanks

In the capture file I cannot see traffic to/from 172.31.88.172 IP. What is the IP of your PC.

If you look at TCP stream one, there is packet loss from 172.31.88.172 (DUP-ACKS and SACKS from 10.88.131.18). I would do another capture at the ingress point of 172.31.88.172 into your network. That would tell you which direction to troubleshoot.
