How to remove email from bugs.wireshark.org?

  • retag add tags

Hello guys,

I am not sure who to contact but I had reported a bug in wireshark some years back and my email is visible in Google search results. I want to remove the email from the bug, can anyone please tell me who should I contact in Wireshark to do this?

You can configure a new email address at https://bugs.wireshark.org/bugzilla/u... Here you can also change the name.

Of course this won't remove indexed data by Google. To alter Google search results see https://developers.google.com/search/...

And possibly the Wayback Machine and whatever other TLA organisations have cached it.

Thank you for your reply. I was able to change the info on the bug but somehow it is still there in the mailing list maintained by wireshark. Any idea how to remove it from there?

What mailing list do you mean? wireshark-bugs? As this is historical/cached/mirrored data the old email address will still be visible there in the archives.

Yes sir, I mean the wireshark-bugs archived mailing list. So there is no way to delete/hide it from there?
