Malformed Packet:SV

  • retag add tags

I get the error "Malformed Packet: SV" for IEC61850 sampled values only when the PRP is enabled. The PRP dissector is enabled and shows the trailer fine. However, I would like to know the reason and resolution of the "Malformed Packet: SV".

Unable to attach the traces as >60 points are required to upload :(

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1dWjO... File prp.pcapng - iec61850 sampled values with prp suffix, has malformed packets, File woprp - without prp suffix, no errors.

Issue has been reported as Bug 15224 and has been fixed.

Upcoming WS versions 2.6.5, 3.0 and 2.4.11 will include the fix.

Please open a Wireshark Bug Report and attach the individual capture files to it (not the H.zip file).
