  • retag add tags

hello.. I'm using the latest version which is available for windows 64bit i.e(version 3.1.1).and the latest user guide is version is 3.3.0. now i need to know that why the wireshark version 3.3.0 is not available? May I know the reason for this? and can we check for the RTSP packets per sec in wireshark?

Thanks & regards Bhavya_Bharadhwj

The project is on the cusp of releasing 3.2.0 as stable and switching development over to 3.3.0, so the version numbers in the documents have been updated in preparation for this.

Development version release candidates, and all other builds can be downloaded from the automated downloads area (other mirrors are available, see the Downloads page).

To focus on the version number confusion, the published documentation is always that of the latest development version of Wireshark. This development version number is always ahead of the released version. The development version has progressed to 3.3.0, while the stable release version of Wireshark is currently at 3.0.6, soon to be superseded by 3.2.0.

The reason for this is that the development of the documentation is often trailing behind the development of the code, therefore the development version of the documentation is the most accurate.
