How can I capture the initial connection to a wireless access point on Windows? [closed]

I am trying to capture the initial DHCP sequence on a wireless network for a vendor. When I start wireshark my wifi is not connected to the network. When I connect it I get "The network adapter on which the capture was being done is no longer running; the capture has stopped." My wifi interface is turned on just not connected. I want to capture all of the packets from when my interface joins the wifi network. How do I get wireshark to capture the initial connection to the WAP so I can trace DHCP issues? I tried looking through the capture settings but could not find anything. Thanks for your help.

I was running 2.6.4 on windows 10. I upgraded to 3.0.3 and no longer have the problem. Thanks for the help!

That's probably the result of a change from WinPcap to Npcap.
