When using the function proto_tree_add_bits_item, "proto_tree_add_bits_item", it will try to interpret the packet in big endian, when I need it in little endian.

Is there a way to reorder these bits, or change the endianness using minimum resources?

I am aware of the proto_tree_add_item "proto_tree_add_item" function but in order to use this, I need to use bit masking, and I would prefer not to go this route.
