troubleshooting Bad TCP

For the last week every time I try to play any game online I get a connection to server timeout error. At first I thought it was specific to the game Apex Legends, but then I realized it was happening in every match of league of legends as well and just about any game I play online. I figured I could use wireshark to help em find the problem but I'm not experienced with how to use it. I got as far as making a button to filter the BadTCP packets, but I don't know how to use the information I now have to try to fix my problem. I would like to attach my results to this post but I cant until I have 60 points? If anyone can help I would really appreciate it.

Hi,

If you are playing online then most of your gaming traffic will be UDP packets. So filtering "BadTCP" will probably not help much.

I had to troubleshoot issues for League of Legends in the past so I know they have a pretty neat file logging system that can be analyzed online.

You should read this article.

Cheers,

JF
