Packet bytes font size prohibits view of ascii

  • retag add tags

In v2.6.4 on Win10, the packet bytes pane seems to scale up the font (versus Packet List and Details panes). As a result, only 1-2% of the ascii data is visible. Different fonts (Consolas, Lucida Console) result in slightly different observations, but all are dysfunctional. If I export the frame to a text file, all the data is visible and available.

Any idea how to correct this?

What font and size are you using? Cam you share a screenshot of the offending pane, include all the pane borders in the image?

I am using Consolas 10.0. I have also tried Lucida Console 10. From the Preferences > Advanced dialog, I observe "gui.gtk2.font_name Default Lucida Console 10" and gui.gtk2.font_name Changed Consolas, 10, -1,5,50,0,0,0,0,0,0".

I am not allowed to upload a file (b/c I'm a new user).

So you're using the GTK GUI? Have you tried the Qt one? Note that 2.6 is the last version to have the GTK UI.

You can put the image on a public file share (e.g. Google Drive, DropBox etc.) and post a link back here.

That link seems to need a password. You'll need to make it publicly viewable.
