Replacement for AirPcap nx USB adapters

Can you recommend a set of 802.11ac or 802.11n USB adapters that I can use to capture a WiFi sniffer trace using WireShark ? My Company currently has 4 x Riverbed AirPcap NX adapter kits ( 3 adapters per kit ) and we need at least two more kits.

Unfortunately, the Riverbed AirPcap NX adapters are no longer sold.

  1. Do you need to stay on Windows?
  2. 802.11n or 802.11ac is pretty broad - you really need to be more specific to be sure you can collect the traffic you are looking for.

You have to have the client(s) communicating within the performance envelope of the capture system. You might need a suite of adapters to apply to a given problem. Do you have a set of clients that you need to capture from or is this just a general request? If the AirpcapNX is suitable, then we know what the clients are capable of and you can select new devices that have this as a minimum performance level.
