Capturing Zigbee Packets

Hello.

I've been attempting to use Wireshark to sniff the Zigbee protocol that my XBees use. However, I haven't been able to capture any Zigbee protocol packets-only internet protocol ones. Does anyone know if it was at all possible to sniff this protocol solely using the Wireshark software or if there is other hardware/software I need to use in addition to Wireshark.

You'll need hardware to sniff ZigBee traffic. See https://wiki.wireshark.org/IEEE_802.15.4 for a few possibilities.
