AVTP packets are not captured by wireshark

I am running OpenAVB stack in two Linux PCs, connected back to back and both of them are running wireshark to capture the frames. I could not find IEEE 1722 frames in wireshark. Other frames transmitted between the PCs (AVDECC, MSRP, MVRP, TCP, UDP, etc) are seen.

What do you see then? I assume a lot of Ethernet II frames with ethertype 0x22F0?

Hi, The packets with 0x22F0 are shown as 1722.1 AVDECC packets. This contains two sections - IEEE 1722 protocol and IEEE 1722.1 protocol. I assume wireshark is taking the last section. I could not see IEEE 1722 packets, with data part.

So they are captured, just not dissected the way you expected.
