Realtek RRCP dissector?

Googling for "Realtek RRCP dissector" returns a hit on an Ethereal list dating from 2004 where dissector source is provided, along with patches for the ethertype etc. https://www.wireshark.org/lists/ether... I see that the current source tree has the ethertype definition, but no dissector is present. Is there any reason why this wasn't accepted, or has it since been removed.

A question about a nearly 14 year old patch. With no further record, let's say it vanished in the mist of time, so to speak.

The REALTEK ethertype appeared in 2017, in Wireshark 2.4, as it was found in a datasheet.

The originally posted patch looks simple enough, so could still be salvaged. If you want that to happen, please file a bug report referencing the email, and more importantly attach a capture file containing these frames. It seems you probably have some.
