How is interface "XHC20" created on macOS?

Found "XHC20" interface on macOS. Seems to be linked to USB packet capture https://stackoverflow.com/questions/13827224/sniff-usb-traffic-on-a-mac

Is the interface created by Wireshark on first install of a recent release or was created by macOS?

It's created by macOS. They requested a link-layer header type for pcap/pcapng for that purpose, and were assigned one. Wireshark supports dissecting it.
