install chmodbpf fails

I have an early 2015 MacBook Pro, dual core i7 running Monterey 12.7.4. I've just downloaded and installed Version 4.2.5 (v4.2.5-0-g4aa814ac25a1) of Wireshark.

I'm informed that I have to install ChmodBPF in order to capture data on the interfaces. This installation repeatedly fails. What needs to be done to get the installation to work?
