Beginner wondering if this is a good communication debugging tool

We are trying to figure out the communication problem on a 2016 vintage Energy Storage System that has lost comm. Is this a good debugging tool to attempt to figure out the problem? If so, any recommendations on how to approach it? Any experts interested in consulting?

"Lost comm" can mean many things, so YMMV. But assuming some sort of Ethernet network involvement, sure it may help to get an idea _what_ is going on. The _why_ may still be up for further investigation. Recommended you get a networking professional involved, if you lack the networking knowledge yourself. Anyone able to provide knowledge of the Energy Storage Systems capabilities can also be beneficial.
