Decode XCP protocol (ASAM Universal Measurement and Calibration Protocol)

Hi,

Is there a way to decode the xcp protocol? I saw on page 114/115 of this master thesis (in german language) that it should be possible: https://monarch.qucosa.de/api/qucosa%3A32933/attachment/ATT-0/

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any details on how to do this yet. I have no contact with the author of the master thesis.

Writing my own plugin currently fails due to the time available and my skills.

Thanks! Jakob

From pg. 114 (my German not so good):

Der aufgenommene Screenshot aus Abbildung 5.1 zeigt das Tool in Kombination mit speziellen Plugins für das XCP-Protokoll.

Hi Chuck, it translates to "The screenshot taken from Figure 5.1 shows the tool in combination with special plugins for the XCP protocol.", but the document doesn't give any details to this "special plugins". "The tool" is wireshark. Maybe the plugins are from the company Bosch, where this thesis toke place, and only internaly available. IDK.

Google "Wireshark Plugin für XCP - PPMC-1749".

Job Ad: Abschlussarbeit - Wireshark Plugin für XCP - PPMC-1749 (Vector Informatik)

It's not archived anywhere that I can find so may (or may not) mean the plugin came from Vector.

Hi Jaap, thank you for the link! So I can compile that to a DLL and add it to the plugin folder?
