Whenever I try to filter HTTP packets, nothing comes up?

  • retag add tags

I am following these steps:

1) Open the Wireshark and start data capturing. 2) Go to website. After the webpage is loaded, stop the capturing. 3) Apply a HTTP filter to only display http protocol related packets.

Packets: 3044 Displayed: 0 Dropped: 0

Try neverssl.com (http://neverssl.com).

You may have to tell your browser to allow "Insecure content" when accessing http sites.

Most sites will use HTTPS these days. So looking for HTTP data is not going to show you any as it is encrypted and not visible as such.
