How to display all frames on my private network

  • retag add tags

I want to display the packets send and receive by a weather Channel on my private network. Is it possible? Normally all IP frames go to all network stations. There must be the ability to tell the network card to pass all destination addresses of the frames

My guess is that Wireshark allready will take of this for you. However you need to understand how you network switch works in this regard. See also https://wiki.wireshark.org/CaptureSet...

Thank you very much for this quick response and these fascinating blogs on the networks. But hey, although a former computer scientist, I'm 73 and my brain is a little soft, but I think I'll have to get by. In fact my weather station whose data I would like to recover to be able to process them myself is on Wifi and I found the corresponding article and the monitor mode, so I will go in this direction, but I have to buy the USB key which is fine. But I'm surprised that you allow monitor mode when the Acrylic Wifi Sniffer software specializes in doing it in conjunction with your program. Again, thank you very much. Cordially
