Decoding header 143 in SRv6

  • retag add tags

Hi, Is there a way to decode EVPN VPWS payload in SRv6. This is header 143, which is plain Ethernet carrying IPv4 and IPv6 in my case. When I click on 'decode as', Wireshark does not offer me 'Ethernet' as decoding option. Thanks. Kris

Can you share a capture file for this?

Here we go: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1FFme...

And also the image of what the problem is: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1FFme...

As you can see, Wireshark is somehow decoding nh protocol of 143 as IP protocol which is not correct. Thanks.

BTW this is the only way that I can share. If I try to attach a file, it says that I apparently need 60 points for uploads which I don't have.

This capability was added to Wireshark on October 5th, 2021, and was release with Wireshark release 3.6.0
