Automatic (live) update of statistics?

The I/O graph has a checkbox "Automatic update" for a live view. Is it also possible to have an automatic update of the other statistics like "IPv4 Statistics -> All addresses" or "BACnet -> Packets sorted by Instance ID"?

In the "Edit -> Preferences -> Statistics", I found the checkbox "Tap update interval in ms". It sounded promising, but I could not see any effect of this box (and I could not find any description of its purpose). What is the purpose of this box?

If you click the Apply button with an empty Display filter: the contents are refreshed/updated.
