Version 3.6. vs. 3.2.6 - file format .au

  • retag add tags

Dear fellow users,

Why can I only listen to the file but no longer save it? In my previous, older version, there was a "Save" option, i.e. a saving option as an .au file. I could then play this with an external media player such as VLC or Audacity.

Is this no longer possible with the current version?

Many thanks for your help

See the end of Users Guide - RTP Player Window, section 9.11.3.1, which describes this change, as well as the Release notes.

The option to save audio has been moved from the RTP Analysis dialog to the RTP Player. The RTP Player also saves what was played, and it can save in multichannel .au or .wav.

Thank you for your reply. However, it does not directly help with my problem...!

If I have a telephone recording via FritzBox, I have so far gone the following way:

  1. open file
  2. telephony>RTP>RTP streams
  3. analyse
  4. save

Therefore, I ask again for instructions on how to convert to an .au or .wav for an external media player when I have a phone recording.

I would be grateful for each and every step.

Lets's see

  1. Open file
  2. Telephony>VoIP Calls
  3. Select your call from the list
  4. Click "Play Streams"
  5. Select channel(s) form the list
  6. Select desired option from Export
