Is there a way to find out SSID of a hidden network?

  • retag add tags

For the past few months there has been a hidden network under my available Wi-Fi options yet I am not sure why. I know that it is not linked to my personal network and I am fairly sure that my neighbors do not live close enough for their signal to be that strong for my pc. I feel that someone may have a hotspot and camera in my home that I am not aware of. *Can someone please help me???*

Wireshark probably isn't the right tool, it's a packet analyzer, not a WiFi monitor.

There are WiFi monitor tools out there, an Internet search will find you some options.
