Kali Linux VirtualBox not capturing EAPOL packets

I have the network settings set to a bridged adapter connected to a TP-Link 802.11ac Network Adapter. It seems I can pick up packets from other devices so monitor mode should be active, I have imported the wpa-psk key into the IEEE (...) protocol section and even then I can not detect any EAPOL packets, I've tried forgetting the password on my phone and then re-entering it and even turning my router off and on but it still does not pick up anything.

During this I connect my samsung phone to the internet and nothing else really, I don't know if it will be useful but hey best provide everything I can even if its useless. https://mega.nz/file/fdRgnbxR#QJpg2jQ...

Capturing on a bridged interface with a VM is not going to work to pick up eapol frames from a 3rd party device. There are packets/frames here in this capture, but they are Ethernet type encapsulation, not 802.11, so the conclusion that traffic exists therefore monitor mode works is not a good one for this case. The adapter is not really in monitor mode, as evidenced by the capture provided.

For the VM to put the wireless adapter in monitor mode, you will likely need a USB adapter and pass the USB device to the VM for exclusive access. Even then, it is not that reliable but using USB2 instead of 3 can sometimes help. Once the VM has it, try to put it in monitor mode and sniff.
