What does the Help-> About Wireshark -> Plugins tab display for codec plugins?
Is this a distributor version or a locally built version?
If you look at the information above ---without bcg729. Question is why do you support it in the Windows world and not in Linux.
I have also looked where you suggested and only shows G.711, G.722, G.726 ----NO G.729
Note that the Wireshark project does not create or distribute any packages for Linux distributions, that is down to the individual distribution packagers.
The Wireshark CI builder for Ubuntu appears to include bcg729, e.g. check the CMake generation step on any recent build on the 3.2 builder here.
I'll ask again, is this a distribution build of Wireshark, and if so which one, or a locally built one?
