Can't find correct ips.

  • retag add tags

If I join a game lobby with 10 people I will only get 1 ip address, usually from the same place. I always get ips from Mountain view CA when I am nowhere near there. Is there a reason for either of these happenings? Thanks!

I suspect that this "Game Lobby" is like many similar web services, each user has a connection to the web service but no connection to each other so you can't get their IP's, so whatever reason you have for acquiring those IP's won't work.

The Mountain View IP's are likely for Google, who have a few premises in that location.
