I need version 1.10.9

How do I get this version. We have an industrial PC that the hard drive crashed and it must use XP Pro due to other software issues so I need a download of the above version. I'm rebuilding it from backups. Thanks

Go to the list of Wireshark download sites, click on the appropriate site for where you're located, click on "win32" or "win64" on that page depending on whether you want the 32-bit or 64-bit version, click on "all-versions" on that page, and then find Wireshark-win32-1.10.9.exe or Wireshark-win64-1.10.9.exe on that page.

Note that 1.10.14 is actually the last version of 1.10 produced, and that should still work on XP.

Just testing 1.12.1 for XP 32, WinPCap installed, just refreshed generating a bug, and no interface can be found. msinfo32 stopped to run, requesting help and technical assistance to be enabled ( already run 1 hour earlier) two interfaces : Broadcom network card + 3G modem supporting network, none shown now. W. 2 Preview network analyzer stays for what ?

Capture > n o interfaces ?

1.12 isn't supported on XP. Use 1.10. See the Development Lifecycle wiki page for more info.

@grahamb

uninstalled 1.12.1 installed 1.10 for XP reinstalled WinPcap - which generated an error (as below)

in the meantime msinfo32 got disabled for some reason

WinPcap 4.1.0.2980 Installation LOG

    Debug Information

Operating system detected on registry: XP - x86
    True operating system (kernel.dll): XP - x86
npptools.dll present on the system: true
netnm.inf present on the system: true
nmnt.sys present on the system: true

An error occurred while installing the NPF driver (0x00000430)

Please contact the WinPcap Team <[email protected]> including the file .. WinPcap\install.log

The installation will now continue anyway.

I can start rpcapd.exe server manually

generating DOS window message:

Press CTRL + C to stop the server ...

but this time Wireshark fails to identify any interface ( network card installed, 3G usb dongle modem supporting network interface installed and running to get Internet access)

Previously I have installed Wireshark 1 ... (more)

I'm surprised that npcap works at all on XP.

As WinPcap, these old versions of Wireshark, and XP itself are no longer supported, you're pretty much on your own here.
