Not sure what you're getting at. Where did you see a reference to it? Does the Analyse menu lead you to it? Does the bookmark button at the very left of the Display filter entry lead you to it?

I learned from the Wireshark help menu, there should be a "Expression" button on the far right of the filter toolbar. I installed the latest 64bits version of Wireshark but cannot find the button. Below is extract from the Help menu. Thanks

6.5. The “Display Filter Expression” Dialog Box

When you are accustomed to Wireshark’s filtering system and know what labels you wish to use in your filters it can be very quick to simply type a filter string. However if you are new to Wireshark or are working with a slightly unfamiliar protocol it can be very confusing to try to figure out what to type. The “Display Filter Expression” dialog box helps with this.

The “Display Filter Expression” dialog box is an excellent way to learn how to write Wireshark display filter strings.

The Expression... button was moved in verstion 3.2.0 .

The "Expression…" toolbar entry has been moved to "Analyze › Display filter Expression …"
as well as to the context menu of the display filter toolbar

The screenshot for the Filter Toolbar will need a new image.

So this screenshot references the Wireshark User's guide, section 3.17. The “Filter” Toolbar. This indeed needs some work. (Now we have the squirrels to cooperate again ;) )
