What to do with large ICMP packets?

  • retag add tags

What do I see if I use Wireshark to log traffic on my network and I notice a number of packets being directed to an internal IP from an outside IP where the packets are ICMP and their size is about 65,536 bytes?

Please I need an answer to the question above. Thank you.

A little more detail on the type of ICMP and/or other traffic from that outside IP would be helpful.

Sounds like a ping of death. Have you configured a forwarding for this client on your Internet router / firewall, so that all ping requests are send to this host?
