Wireshark 3.2.3 appeared to have corrupted my network connections

After installing the latest version 3.2.3 I experienced issues with network cards not being able to connect to either my usual domain network or my private network. It turned out that all network connections were shown as 'Public networks', no matter what I did. This happened on two desktop machines. I uninstalled Wireshark, but still made no difference. After uninstalling the latest nCap tools all networks in both machines started to work again.

The issue did not appear to manifest itself straight after intalling Wireshark but after rebooting my machine (Win7 - x64 Desktop PC), which is why it got unnoticed on one computer.

Has anyone experienced those issues?

Unfortunately I am not able to upload a picture showing the different behaviour of my networks (before and after), since I have just signed up and don't have enough points.

I assume by "nCap tools" you're referring to Npcap. If so, this is probably an Npcap issue; please report this on the Npcap issue list.

It happened to me, after installing 3.2.3 one of my VPN connections stopped working. On reboot, the network card would not autoconfigure and was reported as "no cable connected".

Unchecking the NPCAP driver box solved both problems.

I am planning a careful reainstallation during the weekend.

Please report that as an Npcap issue on the Npcap issue list. Indicate which version of Npcap you're using.
