Why is wireshark not detecting my network adapter?

  • retag add tags

When I run wireshark its not detecting my network adapter. Is there some sort of setting I need to change to get it to detect my wireless network adapter?

What do you mean by "not detecting my network"?

There are no interfaces appearing when I open witeshark. I was assuming it’s having and issues locating my network.

What were you expecting? Wifi, Ethernet? Are you running Npcap as capture driver?

I was expecting WiFi and the npcap was installed when I installed wireshark.

I fixed the question and its title to clarify what was meant.

This seems like yet another duplicate question about lack of interfaces when using npcap. See here for the most recent answer.
