How can I capture web traffic on my local network?

  • retag add tags

Hello,

I am looking to capture traffic on my local network for machines connected to my router. There are 5 system connected and I'd like to know how to setup Wireshark to capture traffic other than the one on the local machine where Wireshark is installed.

Regards,

Hugues

This isn't directly possible as you'll likely be running on a switched network. See the wiki page on Ethernet Capture setup for more info on the issues you'll face and possible solutions.
