"No interfaces found" on Windows 10 laptop

Hello,

So once upon a time, wireshark did indeed work on this laptop; I have no idea what might have changed, but as it remains Wireshark cannot find any interfaces. I've reinstalled the program and WinPcap twice, ran windows updates, disabled the windows firewall, opened with administrative rights, and (of course) restarted the PC - nothing seems to make a difference.

Now I'm asking you - what can I do to get it working again?

  • Is the npf service running? (Run cmd.exe as administrator and run the command sc qc npf)
  • Have you tried to use npcap as an alternative for WinPcap?

After running npf service with sc start npf and restart Wireshark, my interfaces were found.
