What are you trying to accomplish? It sounds that you tryinig to run a pen test. Wireshark uses dumpcap in Linux which is part of the Wireshark installation. Wireshark reports only interfaces it is learns from the Linux OS.

Linux ethtool will show you dropped packets on an Ethernet interface. Wireshark report packets dropped by dumpcap.
